Mary's story
Mary is 46 years old. She is a married woman with five children aged 6 through 27 years. Two of her children are presently in school and all live at home. She deals selling sticks on a busy road where many people pass. She started to sell with some financial help from her husband and she learned this trade from her mother. She has been operating her business for 13 years now and she faces no problems with her business. She likes her business because it gives her money that enables her to support her family and also sends her children to school.
Mary requested a loan through BRAC Liberia and Kiva Field Partner. The loan will be used to buy more sticks to sell to her good clients. She intends to use her profits to help her husband with everyday household expenses. In the future Mary wants to become a big businesswoman. She say thanks to all lenders around the world.
