Gung's story
Balinese artisan Gung specializes in painting sculptures and masks by hand. He would like to invest in the purchase of wood and paints for the production of his new designs.
Gung has been selling through NOVICA since 2003. This is his story:
"I was born in Ubud, and grew up among artisans. Most of my family members are carvers - carving is our family heritage. Other than carving, I also love to paint, so after trying different procedures I finally found a way to combine wood carving with painting. My parents taught me that work is a must, but with good education people will respect you even more."
"Thank you for your support and for appreciating my work. This microcredit will let me be more creative and work on new designs."
