Kuala-ty over Quantity

While visiting Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Lucy went fabric hunting at the famous Pasar Seni, which translates to ‘Central Market.’ 

Her favorite part of the market was the original tiles that decorate the floor. She loved the beautiful and detailed design that speaks of a time long ago.

"As a young child, my family lived in Malaysia and I recently returned to find my childhood home! This fabric's bright colors and motif remind me of our family trips to Malaysian Borneo and their traditional clothes." - Traveler Lucy Cronan

There are 4 types of Hmong people that live in this area. The Red Hmong, Black Hmong, Green Hmong and the Flower Hmong tribes. We visited a very remote region that is dominated by the Flower Hmong people and we explored the Bac Ha market which is rarely seen by outsiders.
