The fabric search began 11,200 ft up in Peru’s Andes Mountains.  A place where the Quechua culture and its traditional fabric can be spotted around every bend.

From carrying grains into town…

to housing fresh produce at the markets...

to strapping curious kids on for the day…

these “K’eperina”or Peruvian carrying cloths serve a variety of PERUposes in Andean life.

And this multiPERUpose fabric,

just found one more use!
